Our Family Farm

Our Farm is base in Nangeenen which is 10km west of Merredin townsite.

The farm is stacked with alot of history with world wide invention and patants.

The farms was mainly Wheat, Sheep, Pigs at times we had Cattle

Also we had for several years a huge Sheep Station called Jarudi which was three quaters of a million acres located just past Southern Cross east of Merredin

How the Farm Started

Glenalbyn Farms was selected by Denis Vincent (Dinny) CahillI and Bidelia Mary Cahill in 1905 who settled here with their family Mary b 8/3/1894 (Mrs Harold Currell), Sara b 13/1/1896 (Cis) Mrs Cecil Nice, Catherine b 16/7/1900 Auntie Kate (Mrs Lance Alderman),The twins Margaret & Vincent died at six weeks and are buried in the old Bunbury Cemetery as when they first arrived in WA they lived for a period at Yarloop at Hoffman Saw Mill before going to Nangeenan. Vincent Denis was born b 8/4/1903 in Boulder. Stephen Joseph born 18th of September in Boulder in 1904, Joseph Michael born in Kanowna 9th of February 1907, Ursula ( Mrs Allan Doncon) Born on the 12th of August 1910 in Osborne Park, and John ( Jack as he was known) born on the 12th of October 1912 in Osborne Park.
